This holiday season, we put on our elf shoes for the 2015 Jingle Bell Run-Raleigh benefitting research for the Arthritis Foundation. The event locally raised $118,005 for arthritis research. That’s something to jingle about!
Chosen as one of the Most Incredible Themed Races, the 5K Jingle Bell Run/Walk for Arthritis is a fun and festive way to kick off the holidays by helping others. Participants wear a holiday-themed costumes, tie jingle bells to shoelaces, and raise funds to fight arthritis. To-date the Jingle Bell Run program has raised more than $7.7 million dollars nationwide for this important cause.
We love creating client brand wins! Following the successful launch of ZoGuard® Plus for Promika, our pet product brand development aisle was bursting with opportunities to launch more flea and tick prevention OTC products. Spot-on. Collar. Spray. We needed to act fast and brand brilliantly to outmaneuver the competition.
Our team got to work. First naming four product lines that would need to go head-to-head with established market leaders. After diligent competitive discovery, ideation and concept testing, new Adventure Plus™, ShieldTec™ and Salvo™ brands were born.
Brand and packaging was developed, featuring bold colors, striking graphics, irresistible cats and dogs, and a highly disciplined branded-info regimen to draw consumer attention instantly to the right product choice.
After all, when shoppers are standing in the pet aisle, they may only use a moment to select a pest control regimen. They’ll need to determine, at-a-glance, if the product is…

As with ZoGuard Plus, we helped Promika develop display solutions, promotions, and consumer education. The results? These products are earning shelf-space at regional and national pet supply and big-box stores, strongly competing for valuable market share.
When your client is launching a new plant growth regulator with a novel active ingredient to slow vertical turf growth – resulting in less mowing, less clippings, and improved turf quality – it’s an exciting new day.
Our Anuew® Day is Dawning product launch communications awakened golf course superintendents and turf managers to a brighter horizon in turf care from Nufarm.
We engaged the marketplace with a fresh brand messaging and visuals, including a rising sun logo and morning-drenched landscape imagery. Our team designed ads, sell sheets, and educational materials – even a memorable turf-lined direct mail package that helped our client introduce Anuew® with glowing results.
This year Elle Alexander Design synched client birthday celebrations with a show of support for the organization, Reel American Heroes Foundation. Always big fans of uplifting charities, our birthday-bound donations helped send veterans on much deserved fishing trips. Of course, we ate a few cupcakes, too.
The Reel American Heroes Foundation is a 100% volunteer 501(c)(3) nonprofit foundation that works with both military hospitals and military bases to provide recreational therapy to our nation’s wounded Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, Marines, Disabled and Combat Veterans.
RAHF was started to thank our wounded heroes for their service to our country and to provide them with much needed recreational therapy.
This holiday season Elle Alexander Design helped share the love by donating children’s clothing, wrapped with love, to Note in the Pocket. This heartfelt organization includes a note with every gift they distribute to remind children all over Wake County that they are loved.
The organization started when a first-time teacher asked her mother how she could do more to help her impoverished kindergarten students who lacked adequate clothes to wear. Based on the notion that “We cannot fix everything, but we can do something,” the teacher and her mother purchased coats for each student. The children were so excited! The next day, many coats were returned as the families could not believe someone would give their child a coat. So they put a note in the pocket that said, “This coat is your child’s to keep. It is a gift sent with love from the community.”
Today, Note in the Pocket is a community collecting and distributing well-fitting, weather-appropriate clothes for children in Wake County. A note placed with each bag of clothes simply says: You Are Loved.
Big agency let-down? We understand. It’s the state that our latest new client arrived at before reaching out us for some fast-acting help. When new client, Promika, approached us to brand a novel line of flea and tick prevention with no more time to spare, we responded. Moving quickly to listen, conceptualize, design, and deliver – the ZoGuard™ brand was born.
Our first task was creating a product name on which to build the brand. Derived from “Zo,” a prefix meaning animal, and “Guard,” meaning protection (against fleas and ticks), the name ZoGuard Plus for dogs and cats connected. Offering the same active ingredients as market-leading FRONTLINE®, ZoGuard Plus also needed packaging wow-factor to compete head-to-head. Next, we developed product packaging that sprung to life with unique images of active dogs and cats, dominant ZoGuard Plus foil lettering, and display packaging that’s both convenient and commanding.
Finally we designed and developed a mobile-friendly, responsive website, www.zoguardplus.com, to engage and educate consumers.
From October to December, ZoGuard Plus was branded, packaged, and its website launched. Just another quick Elle Alexander success story, bringing concept to satisfying fruition on your timeline, not ours.
After far too long, we have finally launched our own new website. We have been saving up tons of new marketing and advertising projects and we are very excited to be able to share them with everyone.
Elle Alexander Design Wins TOCA Award
We recently received a 1st place award from TOCA (The Turf and Ornamental Communicators Association) for our Cuproxat print ad campaign! The TOCA Communications Awards recognize outstanding writing, design, photography, videography and interactive efforts in publishing and marketing communications. We designed this winning entry for Nufarm US and we couldn’t be more excited to share it with them. Congratulations!
